Flash Tutorial: Flash Red women effect

See this tutorial and learn how to create modern and practical effect which you can apply on any objects, picture... For this example, I have used a photo of red women and that's the reason why I have called this effect "red women effect". You don't have to use action script code to make this tutorial. This effect is very easy for create, so let's go!



Step 1

First of all, save my picture that we will use for this tutorial. ;)



Step 2

Start flash. Press Ctrl+J key on the keyboard (Document Properties) and set the dimensions of you document as the dimensions of picture (260x388px). Select any color as background color.Set your Flash movie's frame rate to 33 and click ok.



Step 3

Choose file > Import > Import to stage (Shortcut key: Ctrl+R) and import my picture into a flash stage.

Step 4

While the picture is still selected, go to the Align Panel (Ctrl+K) and do the following:

1. Make sure that the Align/Distribute to Stage button is turned on,
2. Click on the Align horizontal center button and
3. Click the Align vertical center button.



Step 5

After that, while the picture is still selected, press F8 key (Convert to Symbol) to convert this picture into a Movie Clip Symbol. See the picture below.



Step 6

Double click on layer 1 with the Selection Tool (V) to rename its name it picture. After that, click on frame 60,80,140,170 and 210 and press F6 key.

Step 7

Go back on the first frame and take the Selection Tool (V). Then, click once on the picture to select it. After that, go to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage. Click on the Filters tab in the Properties Panel.After that, click on the plus icon and select the Blur filter. Make the adjustements as follows:

1. Blur X and Y : 18
2. Quality : Low



Now, you have this:



Step 8

Repeat the previous step also for keyframe 60 and 170.

Step 9

Choose right-click anywhere on the gray area between the frame 60 and 80 and frame 140 and 170 on the timeline and choose Create Motion Tween from the menu that appears.See the picture below.



Step 10

Create a new layer above the layer picture and name it effect.

Step 11

Select the effect layer, take the Rectangle Tool (R). In the Colors portion of the Tool panel, block the Stroke color by clicking on the little pencil icon and then on the small square with the red diagonal line. For Fill color choose any color and draw a "rectangle" about 800x390px and place it on the position like it is shown on the picture below.



Step 12

While the rectangle is still selected, go to the Color Mixer Panel (Shoetcut key: Shift+F9) and choose the following options:

1. Click on the paint bucket icon to select the Fill color.
2. Choose Radial as Type.
3. Click on the small color rectangle that is on the left side and set its color to #B0A895. Alpha property set to61 %.
4. After that, click on the rectangle from the right side and set its color to #E6E6E6. Alpha property set to 40%.



Now you have this:



Step 13

While the rectangle is still selected, press F8 key (Convert to Symbol) to convert this rectangle into a Graphic Symbol. See the pictur below.



Step 14

Click on frame 60,80,140,170 and 210 and press F6 key.

Step 15

Go back on frame 60 and place the rectangle on the position like it is shown on the picture below.



Place the rectangle on the same position also for frame 80,140 and 170.

Step 16

Go back on frame 80, take the Selection Tool (V) and click once on the picture to select it. After that go again to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage. On the right, you will see the Color menu. Select Alpha in it and put it down to 0%.



Step 17

Repeat the previous step also for frame 140. Select now frame 170, take again the Selection Tool (V) and click again once on the picture to select it. After that go again to the Properties Panel (Ctrl+F3) below the stage. On the right, you will see the Color menu. Select Alpha in it and for now put it down to 100%.



Do this also for frame 210.

Step 18

While you're still on frame 210, place the rectangle on the same position like we have placed it on step 11.

Step 19

Choose right-click anywhere on the gray area between the frame 1 and 60, frame 60 and 80, frame 140 and 170 and frame 170 and frame 210 on the timeline and choose Create Motion Tween from the menu that appears.
